Russell obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand and commenced employment in the IT industry on graduation. He subsequently returned to study for his LLB degree at the University of the Witwatersrand and completed articles of clerkship with Israelsohn-von Zwiklitz in 1999 and joined TWB as a partner in October 2007.
Russell specialises in commercial civil and criminal litigation, as well as arbitrations. He is however familiar with most facets of law and conducts matters in the various legal fields.
Russell’s expertise can be found in his experience in commercial dispute resolution and corporate and commercial law, his focus is on providing clients with insightful and innovative legal advice aimed at achieving the best legal outcome. He has also been involved in various major commercial litigious matters and family law matters. Russell has strong strategic skills, enabling him to effectively fulfil legal solutions in diverse aspects of law.
